| Wild Card Daniel Kartheininger picks up points on KTM at German 125 GP |
| Young German KTM rider Daniel Kartheininger, a regular competitor in the IDM German International 125 Championship this season, was a wild card entry for the German 125 GP at the Sachsenring this weekend and came away with six points form his tenth place finish. |
|
Daniel rode his KTM 125 for the privateer team Freudenberg Racing in his first outing in the 125 cc class of the MotoGP. He is a regular starter in the IDM with this team. Kartheininger’s regular IDM KTM 125 teammate Toni Finsterbusch was also a wild card entry and impressed in training finishing 19th. Race day was not so fortunate for Toni who crashed in difficult track conditions.
Both young riders made an impressive guest return visit for KTM to the 125 cc class, which is being phased out at the end of this season.
